Hello, I’m Jon.

I aspire to improve the world for others – and help ensure technology does the same. I use AI and machine learning to create solutions that serve all people.

I work at Project Evident as Senior Director of the Data Hub. We support practitioners by providing tools and services that allow them to more easily determine what works, for whom, and under what conditions. We are leveraging new technologies to drastically lower the barrier to essential evidence.

Before Project Evident I worked at the Ford Foundation, where I brought safe, ethical, and effective AI solutions to the institution, so staff could best support those on the frontlines of social change.

Previously, I worked in educational technology, building software that supports K–12 students and teachers. I served as a data scientist, technical product manager, and director of AI and innovation. I also led a data champions program and launched a summer internship program for STEM-minded high school students. Earlier in my career, I taught high school physics in New Jersey, and ran after-school enrichment classes in robotics at Harlem middle schools.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in physics and music from Susquehanna University, and a master’s in learning analytics from Teachers College, Columbia University. I’m also an EDSAFE AI Catalyst Fellow.

Outside work, I snowboard and play guitar. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my wife Tammy and our cat.
