Hello, I’m Jon.

I aspire to improve the world for others – and help ensure technology does the same. I use AI and machine learning to create solutions that serve all people.

I work at the Ford Foundation as Senior Manager of Responsible AI Solutions. At Ford, I bring safe, ethical, and effective AI solutions to the organization, so our staff can best support those on the frontlines of social change.

Before Ford, I worked in educational technology, building software that supports K–12 students and teachers. I served as a data scientist, technical product manager, and director of AI and innovation. I also led a data champions program and launched a summer internship program for STEM-minded high school students. Earlier, I taught high school physics in New Jersey, and ran after-school enrichment classes in robotics at Harlem middle schools.

I hold bachelor’s degrees in physics and music from Susquehanna University, and a master’s in learning analytics from Teachers College, Columbia University. I’m also an EDSAFE AI Catalyst Fellow.

Outside work, I snowboard, play guitar, and pursue better coffee. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my wife Tammy and our cat.
